North County wins inaugural Battle of 648

In a game that feels like a sibling rivalry and now features a trophy, it was fitting that brothers were directly involved in producing the final outcome.

North County’s Ryan Owens, a senior out in the field after three years in goal, found the foot of his younger brother Justin on a long free kick with just under 20 minutes left. Justin Owens volleyed home the feed, as the Knights defeated Glen Burnie, 2-1, to take the first Battle of 648 game in boys soccer…
